I'm not an historian and I can't really claim to be very knowledgeable about American History and the struggles for Civil Rights in America. A friend posted this on his Facebook page and it really caught my eyes that 160+ years later, this political picture of America hasn't changed much?
I think this picture goes without many words. In certain parts of America, there is still plenty of work to do.
Even for some of the states that have gone from Red or Orange to Blue (VA, FL, CO, NV), the margin of victory is so thin, it could have gone either way. Indiana is one of the few state that has gone from Blue to Red. IN and NC flirted with blue in 2008, but have now moved back to Red in 2012.
